Southern Slang was started in November 2016 as a blog meant to focus on politics and culture in the American South. Once it began, it was quickly realized that the problems of the South are really exasperated issues of the problems that America and Western civilization face.
The site shifted gears slightly to focus on politics, culture, philosophy, religion with a southern bias. Full disclosure, I prefer the libertarian slant on all of those topics, but welcome different points of view.
Ultimately, it’s my goal to make Southern Slang a community of ideologically diverse writers and readers who can debate in good fun and good faith. I imagine that’s a long way off, so in the meantime I’m happy for the readers who do find their way here. Like us on Facebook and Twitter if you like what you see.
